Shelly Singh, D.O.
Dr. Shelly Singh was born in Louisiana and grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland. She is a graduate of the Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and she trained in internal medicine at Northside Hospital in St Petersburg, Florida. She completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York.
Dr. Singh’s practice specializes in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She has a great passion to build a bond with her patients and to help them establish their healthcare goals. Dr. Singh is board certified in internal medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time in the outdoors, and playing with her cat, Dewy. Dr. Singh is very excited to be joining High Desert Gastroenterology and is proud to work with such a fantastic team. She is accepting new patients now and looks forward to serving the community.
Pradeep R Atla, M.D., MPH
Dr. Pradeep Atla is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist. He graduated from Armed Forces Medical College, a premier medical school in India, and went on to pursue a Master’s in Public Health from Wichita State University before joining Internal Medicine Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. Dr Atla completed his Gastroenterolgy Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, Fresno, and has been in Gastroenterology clinical practice since 2016. He is well-trained having been exposed to varied pathologies in medical school, Residency or during Fellowship training. Dr Atla is well-versed in all aspects of general Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has a special interest in non-alcoholic fatty liver, functional GI disorders, and Colorectal cancer screening.
Dr Atla is active in Research and has presented his scholarly work at National and International conferences. He has several original publications in peer-reviewed journals . Dr Atla is also on the Reviewer Board for several scientific journals.
In his free time Dr Atla spends time with his family in Southern California, and enjoys playing with his daughter. He is an avid painter and does plein air and studio work primarily with oils and watercolors. Dr Atla’s other interests include Olympic recurve archery and cricket.
Raman M. Patel, M.D., MRCP, FACP, FACG, CPI
Dr. Raman M. Patel has been practicing Gastroenterology in Antelope Valley for the last 30 years. He started with solo practice and merged with Dr. Pathmarajah in four months to form High Desert Gastroenterology. He was instrumental in expanding and enhancing gastroenterology practice in Antelope Valley, from primary diagnostic endoscopic procedures in office to highly complex therapeutic procedures in hospital setting. Thereby facilitating comprehensive gastroenterology care to the residents of Antelope Valley.
High Desert Gastroenterology is now composed of well accomplished and skillfully trained young gastroenterologist, who provides efficient gastroenterology subspecially care. Dr. Patel also engineered, well-equipped, state-of-the-art outpatient endoscopy center as well as gastroenterology/histopathology lab in the office.
Dr. Patel graduated with MBBS from B.J. Medical College, in Ahmedabad, India. He completed his three years of Residency in Internal Medicine in three different countries, earning MD from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India; MRCP from Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, Scotland; Internal Medicine Board Certification from New York, USA. Dr. Patel performed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Brooklyn Veterans Administration Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Patel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and Fellow of American College of Physicians and American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom. He is an active member of American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy since 1980. He is a certified physician investigator.
Dr. Patel has served on many committees including executive at both local hospitals and has done clinical research for 10 years for High Desert Gastroenterology. Dr. Patel has published many articles and continued to be active in practice in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
